"Planting Mangrove for Life, It's Fun."

On July 26th, the 19th Pagapat Festival, hosted by Ikao Ako Foundation, was held in Silay City, Negros Occidental!
In the morning, approximately 300 people gathered, including the Mayor of Silay, tourism department officials, and members of local community groups working with the city.
- Introduction of participants
- Introduction to Ikao Ako's projects
- A dance contest (themed mangroves) between districts was held.
After lunch, in the afternoon, approximately 830 students from Silay City, including elementary and high school students and Japanese students, participated.
- Inter-school games
- Dance contest award ceremony
- Mangrove planting in Balarin Village were also held.
This year, a total of over 1,000 people participated in the festival!
Since the participants usually work in different regions, it's rare for them to meet together, and they were able to share a wonderful time.
