"Plant mangroves, Capture Carbon, Create Credit."

Achievement of Ikaw Ako Foundation

Our activities began 27 years ago, in 1997, in Brgy Balaring on Negros Island, Philippines. It all started when Japanese students visited Balaring, where the once-abundant sea was suffering from the effects of mangrove deforestation and environmental destruction.

Since then, we have focused on restoring the lives of local people and nature, primarily through mangrove reforestation activities. These efforts, which have expanded from Negros Island to Bohol Island, have resulted in the planting of over 2.3 million mangrove trees to date.
