"Plant mangroves, Capture Carbon, Create Credit."
What is Mangrove?
Mangrove forests that grow in tidal zones are important as spawning and cradle places for aquatic animals, and the decline of mangrove forests is said to be one of the causes of the decline of coastal fisheries. As mangrove forests have excellent meteorological productivity among all plants on Earth, they are expected to contribute to global environmental measures by fixing greenhouse gas CO2. It is said that mangrove forests have been cut down in large quantities to supply firewood and building materials to cities and to create fish and shrimp farms. This project will maximize the effect by planting trees in collaboration with local residents through a more effective participatory model based on partnerships with NGOs. We hope to use the generated carbon credits to plant mangroves and speed up their regeneration.
